Artworks - Alison Hart
Alison Hart first experienced life drawing as a teenager and it has remained a core discipline for her over the years. She took her Pre-BA Foundation at Epsom School of Art & Design and achieved a BA (hons) in Illustration at Harrow College(University of Westminster). During this time she particularly enjoyed the regular figure drawing sessions, allowing her to develop her skills in this area. She started working in the art department of The Daily Telegraph before leaving college, working on graphics and more painterly illustrations for travel and food articles. Her career led her to work for several national newspapers, as well as completing independent illustration work for various private companies and publishers.
Alisonís work has been sold privately over the years and she has now released a small collection of life drawings through GalleryOne. This is an exciting time of development, when she has really started to focus on her fine art in a more significant manner. Her new drawings demonstrate a fresh approach, using ink wash, pencil and inktense sticks. Strong compositions and respect for the figure, result in a series of elegantly sublime drawings.
